Salman Khan was born as ‘Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan’ on December 1965, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He is the son of Salim Khan, a scriptwriter who gave hit films like Sholay and Don, and his first wife, Salma Khan. He was one of the five children of his parents, the other being two sons, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and two daughters, Alvira and Arpita. In the late-1980s, Salman Khan started visiting producers and auditioning for roles. He debuted in the film industry, in a supporting role, in 1988, with the movie ‘Biwi Ho To Ais.
